10 TIPS TO MAKE YOUR JEWELRY SHINE

You've no doubt heard that diamonds are a girl's best friend and that they last forever. These were sophisticated concepts constructed by a brilliant advertising campaign, and by which we continue to live to this day. There's also a notion that a diamond ring should cost three months's salary. But whether it's a family heirloom or a pricey engagement present, you want it to be beautiful and shiny.

CARING FOR YOUR JEWELRY

"Taking care of the jewelry is necessary to make it sparkle and shine forever. While every piece of jewelry looks pretty beautiful, it can end up looking shiny forever if we do not care for it well. If you really want your jewelry to last forever, then you need to take care of it."

Follow these simple tips to take care of your jewelry.

1. Keep it away from Wood

Avoid storing your jewelry on wood or some chemically treated surfaces that may stain or increase discoloration speed.

2. Store in a Zip-lock Bag

After a while, your jewelry reacts to moisture and air, which eventually cause it to tarnish. Put it in a zip-lock bag and press out all the air before closing it.

3. Keep away from Chemical Liquid

Do not directly spray perfume onto your jewelry. Always put on your perfume before your jewelry is put on, such as neck and wrist pieces.

4. Keep your Jewelry Dry & Away from Skincare

The contact of lotions & creams with your jewelry may contain acidic ingredients that react with your metal pieces. Also, avoid moisturizing areas of your skin that come into contact with pieces.

5. Keep your Jewelry away from Water

We would suggest that you remove your silver and solid gold jewelry before showering or washing your hands, as it has the propensity to taint when in contact with water. Also, this shall not be worn in a swimming pool area or at sea.

6. Use dishwashing soap & warm water.

For dull, filmy, or slightly discolored pieces, mix a few drops of mild dish soap with warm water and scrub the jewelry using a soft cloth. Then, rinse in cool water and buff with a cloth until dry.

7. Keep away from Physical Activity

We recommend removing your pieces before going to bed or participating in any physical activity to avoid any accidents that may cause damage to your pieces.

8. Store your Jewelry in Box

Always remember that jewelry should be kept secret in an airtight box to make it shine forever.

9. Clean your Jewelry

We recommend cleaning your jewelry piece after use occasionally & wiping with a soft cloth. As a best practice, do this once every week.

10. Clean the Metal first, then Diamonds
We recommend cleaning the metal first and then the diamond; this will make your diamond sparkle.
